... Why in the fuck would her make-up team throw a fit AFTER her interview? When their job is done there?
Kathy never told a deeply personal story about winning her Emmy for her her dad, mom or anyone else. She Never Said the Word”Emmy” the entire time she was in-studio. She never told such a story at any of the three appearances she made from 2006-‘10 while Artie was still there.
The entire bit is entirely at the expense of Kathy’s looks. I don’t care about this rigid ginger. I’m kinda blindsided Artie would cobble together such an unnecessarily long, flimsy story (that he laughs endlessly through every time) for such a hack punchline, he even pantomimes a Dangerfield delivery at the end:
“Trust me, if you’ve never seen her without make-up .. the broad def needs the room more than I do. She looks like insert any weathered male celebrity name”
This is likely Artie’s “golden parachute” joke, that he’ll one day reveal is a hoax, but that it killed “every time” bc of his “gift” to tell,stories like Richard Pryor...

I thought his funniest moment was when he dressed as Iron Sheik Jr. and fucked with Iron Sheik. Artie is always funnier as a sketch comedian.
