Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Gofundme - they're all just ways to lie to people for free money.

Every month I read a story about a funding gone wrong or the company closing, and the backers get nothing. Just yesterday, a couple helped a homeless guy get $400K on Gofundme. He blew ALL OF IT in a few months time, mostly on drugs and giving it to family, and he's back to being homeless.
