It could not be more like a car. Tire wear, flats, disc brake rotors, brake cable adjustments, tune ups, chains, lubrication, etc. Anyone who actually rides their bike needs a good bike shop or has learned how to do bike maintenance.

Bikes are no maintenance? I think I probably spend more money each year on my bike than my car.
