It wouldn’t surprise me if the management disliked Norton on a personal level in a way that they never disliked O&A, or Sam.

Anthony never seemed to give the bosses trouble (until his mental breakdown in 2014).

Opie was obnoxious about contract negotiations but I imagine that mainly just made people roll their eyes.

Sam is a company man.

Norton meanwhile seems like a classic problem employee. Always creating problems for management and pestering them to fix things that are unfixable. Remember how he would stomp off to the boss’s office whenever they got dumped? That was fucking obnoxious on Jim’s part. I imagine he does stuff like that all the time.

Maybe I’m being too wishful, but it would be awesome if they just kicked his complaining ass onto the street.
