The schmaltz came from James L. Brooks who, of the three creator/producers, was the most responsible for getting the show on TV. He had a track record of creating hit shows and Groening and Simon knew they had to defer to his judgement for the show to make it.

I really like Brooks, but he’s definitely super schmaltzy, especially in the movies he’s directed—Terms of Endearment, Broadcast News, As Good as it Gets, Spanglish.

Season 1 has Crepes of Wrath, Krusty Gets Busted, Homers night out... its watchable. Unlike Seinfeld first season which is just awful.

Watchable but rough. I'm a Simpsons fag, I've seen every episode through season 17 with and without the audio commentary. I know that what I think doesn't necessarily translate to most people.

It makes no sense for it not to be erock. I thought the very same thing at first; Its just someone pretending. Erock posted that comment about Anthony bothering a teenager, and when this sub caught hold of it a full 30 days later. This makes it seem like he realized Anthony might be pissed if he sees this, and proceeded to delete his comment history, and make a couple cover posts. If he deleted his whole account then Anthony may be suspicious because the screenshot is real and deleting it incriminates him. Throwing Anthony off the trail with a cover gives benefit of the doubt it wasnt him. We know it was really erock because he had a comment history of wrestling posts and simpsons right before this all went down and still has the karma points from the posts made. There is no other reason to delete simpsons and wrestling posts.

It doesn't matter where else he posts or doesn't post. That account told a story that wasn't public knowledge. If it's true, Cumia (and Erock) knows that it's true and knows that Erock was the one to post it because nobody else knew. If it wasn't true, they both know it's not true and don't care.

At the time of his Las Vegas post about Anthony, nobody could have possibly known that he was going to end up working for Compound Media. At very least, everything's coming up Milhouse.

I remember the little Simpsons snippets they'd play during the Tracy Ullman show back in the 80's. That being said, that's the only time I ever watched the Simpsons.

The Simpsons hasn't been funny in nearly 20 years now. I tried watching some newer episodes and they are shockingly awful. Not clever, not a laugh to be had. I just sat there stone faced, waiting for it to be over. I'm shocked that anybody still watches that show but then again Erock is a simpleton.

I didn't get that at all. When Erik came into the studio to confront the intern Ron let hang himself on air, Erik very clearly asked if he was retarded because he plays a very specific role on the show.

There are a lot of great ERock bits and moments because he's there to be whipped. Creatively he may fail but the guy knew radio and producing better than anyone at SIRIUS, which is why he was paid almost as much as Opie and Anthony for most of his career, you simpleton.

For the hell of it last nite I looked up "Erik Nagel" on Facebook and at least 1, maybe even 2 Erik Nagel's lived in Arizona like the account claimed. I didn't check to see if either works at Wal-Mart. But my guess is Piggy Boi looked up his own name then went with whatever details he could find (AZ, Wal-Mart.) to construct some plausible deniability. Then I checked Erocks actual Facebook profile. Surprisingly he doesn't have it completely private, you can at least look at it. It was funny to see all his Nagel family members commenting on his pictures.

This is probably his idea of a prank. Like when he'd get back at an O&A staffer by turning their monitor around.
