I seriously think that's why tweakers are so hateable. Sleep deprivation of any kind just makes you insane. I once drove for nearly 24 hours straight, completely sober, and by the end of the drive I was hallucinating.

As I see it, the problem is just as you describe: If you took a regular person, then had them sleep on concrete for a year, they're going to be bonkers. Going hundreds of days without a good nights sleep is going to turn you into a crazy person.

Yup - I already feel antisocial and very mildly psychotic after a day of interrupted sleep, i can only imagine how bad it could get if it were hundreds of days or years of that.
