Well AS A PROFESSIONAL BROADCASTER: You typically keep a strong veneer when delivering very earth-shattering news; like the assassination of a well-known, well-loved president. You head into it strong, because people need someone composed enough to lead the way, especially with life-changing news like JFK being murdered, that would alter the entire country, irrevocably.
However; Opie is a true genius in broadcasting, in that he DECONSTRUCTED ALL OF THAT! You find out some fag in some fag paper is talking about how your idiot wife banged someone from CKY/Jackass/Element Skateboards on camera? Throw a hissy fit. It's genius! Because it subverts and deconstructs the idea of what it means to be a truly great broadcaster. It may seem cunty and petty to take it out on the entire staff and studio, but THATS THE FUCKING POINT. Opie is such a genius; you're not in on the joke at first, but you get it down the line years later, like Van Gogh!
