I mean I personally love watching self-righteous people get taken down. But conspiracytards are on this weird thing where they think every one of their political enemies is secretly a pedophile. Because they are too dumb to understand complex economic theories. But they are smart enough to know pedophile= bad. They don't know if you should cut the taxes for corporations or raise them. But they sure as hell know that everybody on the left is a pedophile.
I think it's a little more than that. Yes, there's just conspiracy idiots who are doing exactly what you're saying. But them trying to paint a stronger connection between liberal people and pedophilia is probably the real purpose. As well as trying to hold up liberals to the same moral policing they do. It's actually kind of smart in terms of subconsciously persuading people to your side ideologically. Liberals do the same with conservatives and nazis.
I'm not happy with them doing it (I don't like this mob culture and finding any issues to get someone fired) but I get it.
