Gavin's show was the only good thing that was ever on that shit network. He might be a gay retard, but he's damn entertaining and knows how to carry a conversation. He actually out effort I to his show to make it good, even overbooking guests at a lot of points, which would sometimes be a detriment, but it showed that he wanted it to work.
Gavin & Ant might've been better than AA show, Gavin's a fruit-tard, but at least there would've been show prep & everything wouldn't descend into one of Artie's 5 stories followed by ancient references/impressions.

I thought that they should have teamed up from the beginning. Gavin is also a strong enough broadcaster to steer the ship which would allow Anthony more time to sit back and snipe, which is one of his strong suits. Constantly and enthusiastically selling his show to his audience, though, is definitely not.
I imagine they wanted to keep it open to being a comedy show and Gavin and Ant would have been right wing talk radio. Not that it isn't that now, but I could see it being even harder to get guests when it is both of them. It would have been far more successful than anything they've done so far.
Gavin can be great. He really needs to drop the 1950's family values shtick, it's hypocritical and stupid, and the whole Proud Boys thing is really cringey.
