those 2 limit covers were overloaded with shitty graphics

Shit, now that you mention it, I think they were!

pen & pixel

No limit.

yeah no limit.. i forgot it was called no limit.

Are they still a label ?

nah, someone else started another label called No Limit forever Records (silkk the shocker's uncle apparently)

Big Bear - "Doin Thangs"

damn why did i say 2 limit..

RIP Soulja Slim

Ant looks good! I bet there’s a Rockstar Games T shirt under that uniform.

That guys nose is offset by at least an inch.

those old no limits were the best, like a cousin who was in community college for graphic design but still legit.

Who looks at that shit and goes, "yep, exactly what I wanted."

Ask Silkk The Shocker...

Did I do that!?

Those people.

N-person

I’m fucking loved the no limit album covers as a kid. In high school I was such a giant faggot that I covered the wall in my room with No Limit ads that I ripped out of The Source or XXL.

Well, I guess I'm a faggot too then

Dear God please tell me you're not a suburban white guy.

I’m posting on the Opie and Anthony subreddit. What do you think?

Wigger douche.

Fuck you, Nigga is an awesome tune.

Also an awesome title

Tha Block is Hot is also a favorite of mine to lol at

Nice lips and teeth, you baboon

That album was awesome

Old no limit album covers looked like they were all mixtapes or just illegal copies of actual albums. And Master P made boat loads of money.

That's pretty much what they were. It was always 20 tracks ft. everyone else but billed as the main rapper. He'd just pump out those albums. He'd package them all together then distro them through old rap mags like 4080 etc.

Master P, Mystikal and Silkk and C-murder were pretty much the only ones who got their 'own' albums, and Snoop signed later with them.

It's like how comedians these days all have their own "special," but it's 10 minutes with 20 other people.

Whatever it was, it was great. Not necessarily great albums but some fucking great tracks. I always considered Snoops first No limit record maybe his best, other people shit on all of them. But I also liked Tha doggfather too which people said was garbage. C-murder was great.

Tha Game is to be Sold, Not to be Told > Tha Doggfather. No Limit Top Dogg was pretty decent too

Yeah No limit top dogg was fucking great. God damn I miss mid 90s to mid 2000s rap. Fucking shite these days. Skinny faggots covered in tattoos sending snaps, what the fuck is that?

For sure.

A lot of those guys from the bay did those tape / CD covers too. Mac Maul, Dru Down, Mac Dre etc all had those collage No Limit Records style tapes. It was a thing back then, then Master P opened his store "No Limit Records" before he moved down south, like Screwed Up Records for Houston. Them and Burnt Ramen were some of the only good things to come out of Richmond music.

The dumb shit I remember.

I was jonesin’ when Slim got killed; y’know how I feel.

-Clarence Murder

IIRC, this “style” of New Orleans gansta rap album cover originated with one dude who made 100+ of these types of covers with his pirated copy of PowerPoint.

Machine gun sounds started with rap from New Orleans.

Pen & Pixel were the guys who did most of the covers, even did a bunch of covers for non NOLA groups.

Not enough gold tanks.

Ahhh, No Limit CDs, where 1/3 of the cover is just listing featured guest rappers.

That facial expression...wow
