Seth was on JAM show and MeToo topics are both hilarious and pertinent to this sub. Among DCMA threat thread, and obvious repeat thread deletions, these topics being deleted seems to stick out as strange.

It seems that threads that lead to funny (but also kinda real) racism and funny (also kinda true and real) anti-semitism are being selectively deleted. This would explain why Seth Rogan and Kumail threads are deleted on sight. I don't post these threads myself so I don't care in particular. It's the motivation behind these deletions that is an issue. The mods, or potentially a specific mod or two behind this, will give reasons such as: repetitious, irrelevant, "shitposting", spam, and the like. These are purposefully vague and distract from the real motivation. The motivation seems to be to suppress these subjects out of either a personal dislike for the 'offensive racism', or a desire to prevent associated political attitudes and views they personally dislike from being allowed.

This has been going on for months and the effect is palpable. It encourages a certain type of attitude and a certain type of poster. The Ant hatred threads have gone from funny free-for-alls to full blown virtue signaling. From fucking with him cause it's funny to being morally outraged, and personally offended and angered, at his racism. People post weekly reports of Joe Cumia's social media more to virtue signal how horrible his racism is than to laugh at his racism and stupidity. These types of posters will never openly admit this because it seems lame and weak, but it shows from their behavior and voting patterns.

Based on his comment in this thread, the mod behind this is potentially u/BigGreenYamo. Both Yaseetheo is and u/grillskillz are also MDE posters which, whatever you think of them, demonstrate the type of attitudes that this mod is actively and selectively trying to censor.

I don't think the mods are downvoting it or using alts to downvote it. I think the one or several mods doing what I described has created the environment where those people have become more prevalent. I don't think the downvotes are bad either, I consider it striking a nerve because they know it's true and have no response but petty and emotional ones.
