In a Corporate workplace - every HR dept has a policy on confidentiality. You can't announce to other Co-workers that an employee filed a complaint with Human Resources. Especially doing it ON AIR.

Obviously, the actual filming was huge factor in decision to terminate his contract. But - this additional violation of an HR policy is what really pushed SXM mgmt to drop this bastard.

What I think happened is, SiriusXM told him if he really wanted to go to court they'd be more than happy to do so and would subpoena all of his former co-workers and show employees and put them on the witness stand to talk about what they dealt with from Opie. And just like that Opie decided he didn't need anything from them and dropped his threats.
