Anthony bought a shoddy mcmansion instead of an actual investment property in Manhattan or a legit compound in rural NJ/NY because garbage is magnetically attracted to Long Island

I think they call it something rich.

I can hear the sound of a little bell ringing...

I'd really enjoy living where he does, surrounded by boring Jews and only a couple miles from the world's biggest hive of barely legal Russian whores.
But he hates both those things.
1 Ants_Oily_Hair 2018-06-22
it was good for ant when he worked in the city and had to be in by 6 am or whatever. he is like a block away from the exit. a guy told me
1 G4mblog 2018-06-22
Being a midwestern philistine, where exactly are these russian whores located?
1 AutomatedApathy 2018-06-22
Coney island
1 Kalikhead 2018-06-22
And doesn’t he back up to a highway?
1 ClownShitExpress 2018-06-22
Yeah, why live in Nassau 30 minutes from one of the greatest cities in the world when you can just live on a horse farm outside of Albany?
For all of his faults, I'm not seeing this one. He was also maintaining an apartment in the city when he bought the "compound." It was a fine move, he just white trashed the whole thing up.
1 TheElDan 2018-06-22
How often does he go to the city now? He can’t even drive, what does it matter how far he has to go to get there, he’s going to be chauffeured the whole way anyway.
1 DickPrebble 2018-06-22
Doesn't he have an apartment in the city? I guess he visits fairly often.
1 MonsterSteve 2018-06-22
I don't think he has it anymore. That was back when he had a good paying gig.
1 JespyZero 2018-06-22
If you just said “when he had a paying gig” you still would be correct.
1 db111 2018-06-22
Everybody in Nassau county claims to be 30 minutes from Manhattan, yet it never really works out that way.
But there are places in LI/NJ/Westchester that he could've built a big house without cramming it on a postage stamp sized lawn

But Anthony wanted a podcast studio in his home. How would he have gotten the studio equipment into the city?
1 GryllslyBear 2018-06-22
Maybe a good buddy could help, someone with a bit of background in the police force.
1 TurningFrogsGay 2018-06-22
I keep seeing reference to some exaggerated difficulty of moving podcast equipment into NYC. Can someone explain or link to an explanation?
1 throwawawyy2 2018-06-22
I think it was a befuddled jom narten that thought getting a recorder and headphones into nyc requires a license
1 TurningFrogsGay 2018-06-22
Haha what a provincial child.
Remember when Yeemy thought race cars had horns they could beep at the other drivers?

as much as Anthony is a pedo unfunny guy. He lives in the North Shore, do your homework.
1 Compound_MediaPR 2018-06-22
Anthony has a dope house, but he overpaid and could have had much better. Not to mention how much value it has already lost.
1 Ants_Oily_Hair 2018-06-22
his home sucks cock. his value is in the property. you are clearly not from anywhere around there.
anthony is a pedo ass hole fuck and i think he is very unfunny but i am not going to just chuckle along when I know better. this is literally the one thing u cant make fun of him for.
1 Compound_MediaPR 2018-06-22
Yes, god forbid somebody on /r/opieandanthony shits on somebody for a joke with the punchline being the word "nigger."
1 Ants_Oily_Hair 2018-06-22
thank u for seeing things my way
1 Jungies 2018-06-22
You're a dope.
Anthony has a McMansion; I don't mean that as a throwaway insult, I mean that it's an objectively ugly building. For the same money Ant could have had something nice; instead he just pissed his money away on a gaudy eyesore.
1 Compound_MediaPR 2018-06-22
I know it's a mcmansion. I live in a 1985 rancher. I'm not going to legitimately attack the guy's house.
1 vbfronkis 2018-06-22
That was great to read. Thanks.
1 AutomatedApathy 2018-06-22
Not for nothing but the new super expensive houses on the south fork of Long island break of all these rules. The older houses fortunately still look like homes.
1 Jungies 2018-06-22
Oh, sure - but unless you're buying a pre-made home, you have a choice in how it looks.
1 Rainbowuser13 2018-06-22
I have seen pics of his house. That house would sell for about 200k in my city.Just another crappy spec house.
1 hixsonte80 2018-06-22
You’d pay 600k for it in your city. Oooooo, I make 200k. That’s middle class Mercedes.

1 Cancerous_cunt_408 2018-06-22
It's hardly a compound
1 zeroaiming 2018-06-22
If he was true to his form he would have gone south shore mcmansion. His house and the property are actually a pretty solid investment.
1 lemskroob 2018-06-22
he is still underwater from where he bought it in 2008.

1 SwampYankee 2018-06-22
It's in Roslyn Heights......It's about the whitest place on Long Island. It is for those that can't quite afford Roslyn. Roslyn is old money. Long Island has some lines of demarcation. Old money, class money and relay money lives north for Route 25A. Anthony never quite made the leap. He grew up south of 25A. His brother lives south of 25A and Anthony lives south of 25A. Roslyn "Hebrew" Heights is just a quick jump to the Long Island Expressway or the Northern State. Worst of the traffic is from right about here until the city (Manhattan). Not too bad before 6am and not too bad on the return before 2PM. Honestly he was miking enough in the radio days to just have a driver or black car take him in and out. That has the added benefit of not having to worry about being sober or hung over. Long Island railroad is right nearby and is a quick ride in. It has it's issues but I always preferred it to driving.
1 Kalikhead 2018-06-22
I have family that grew up on Long Island... ok married into it.. Anyways - there’s nothing cheap about it. Anyone who grows up in one of cookie cutter Long Island ranch houses always dreams of getting something bigger... In this case he did all right - it just looks horrible and gaudy even from LI Italian standards...

He can look out of one of his many windows directly into a neighbors window only ten feet away. Wow, he really made it huh?
1 TangerineReam 2018-06-22
What he should've done (which I guarantee he DOESN'T DO), is rent the apartment out. Or at least buy a couple of apartments in the fucking building, and rent those out to whomever. Very little amount of work that he would realistically have to do to accomplish that, and he could collect checks every month, which he could then use to knock out his utilities around that gavone mansion he lives in.
1 Jarvismcjigglesteins 2018-06-22
Sir, which ethnoreligion do you belong to? 😒
1 TangerineReam 2018-06-22

Long Island is the worst place to live. It is New Jersey with no sustainable food and floods.

As much as I dislike li for the most part, both of those statements are false.

The quality of his house is akin to Jethro in Alabama’s triple wide.
1 SalesCunt129 2018-06-22
Long Island is a dark alley that ends at the ocean with one way in and one way out. What a fucking shit hole.
It makes Jersey look appealing by comparison.

Guy made enough money where he never had to look at the kind of people he was complaining about again, if he didn't want to and still couldn't help himself.

im a real estate broker and an appraiser. you can rag on nana all you want but there are very high end surfaces throughout that house plus a very custom pool. my plain jane 40 x 20 heated pool still cost 50k with fencing and 1,000 gallon propane tank.
and the word you are looking for is irish. its irish rich im pretty sure.
