I get that Opie was so callous about losing Steve because he's a sociopath who thinks everyone tried to hurt him but I don't get why Jim and Ant trashed him. This isn't the first occurrence.
Did these two dummies really not think Steve did the best with the garbage he had?
It's because they knew they too were responsible for his death.
Much like we would all do if it were confirmed that /u/chickenfan1 killed himself, they are doubling down because their only other option is to admit they are monsters.
