i hate those songs. i hate how the casper the friendly ghost type songs are what people use as examples. He is so talented and tormented. he channels such a pure innocence, while still making poignant points on different aspects of life. i really only like one out maybe 3 songs on his albums but he really is special. and if you watch the devil in daniel johnston it adds another level. i also struggle with mental illness and everything about him resonates with me.
1990 is a great album. Like someone else mentioned the doc is amazing. He thought he was casper at one point and tried to crash the plane his father was flying.
