I am a big LoS fan, but this is embarrassing. It's just a holiday. Nobody thinks about the reasons behind holidays. Think about how few people celebrate Christmas in a religious sense versus people who just see it as the day people get gifts. Memorial Day is just the unofficial start of summer to most people. When you see clips of town parades it's not like the entire town is there. Most are grilling hot dogs and haaaaaaaaamburgers in their back yards.
Also I don't get the point of what he's saying. He seems to think that soldiers, who for the most part probably have good intentions, can just leave whenever they want if they disagree with the war. He doesn't acknowledge the top-down command structure of the army and how soldiers aren't permitted to question orders. Does he want us to get rid of the military or something? Ideological dummy
