Asking an employee to cancel their vacation is bullshit. Back in the day, my boss asked someone on my team to do that. My coworker refused. My boss was such a vindictive cunt, he not only fired the dude, he terminated the relationship with the contracting company. Which has the net effect of getting other people terminated, who had nothing to do with it. He basically called up the contracting company and said "we no longer need any of your services."

Most of the time, I completely agree with you but sometimes things come up and it's not unreasonable if something were to come up to maybe delay your vacation.

You would be surprised how often that works on the executive level. Erock doesn’t have the weight (outside of literal weight) to make it work, but it’s not always a bad idea to let a company know why and how you could improve their product if they give you control.
