Ricky Gervais has read the sub at least once

Today I learned that I have a friend in common with Roland (gross).

I mentioned something about Gervais getting skinny and bloating back up, to which he replied that was friends with a guy who knew Ricky well.

He told me that Ricky is actually very annoying and that his friend frequently feels bullied by him. Apparently Ricky calls the guy an "italian sausage" because he read it on "a message board" and it makes him laugh every time he says it. This really gets under Roland's skin.

Of course, he's talking about this. I quietly enjoyed the story without playing my hand and revealing that I frequent the "message board." I also did not let on that I knew who Roland is.

Time to reevaluate life.

Mr. Pilkington always claimed Ricky was a serial annoying dickhead. Conan O'Brien seems to do the same thing with his staff, always wrestling, insulting them and grabbing at them. I guess it is what funny people do.

I've always loved the thought of Ricky wrestling with Karl during production meetings. Such a funny thing to do. The suits are all talking seriously and you just grab another guy, wrestle him to the ground, and sit on top of him, while the meeting is still in progress.

There could be some truth to this: there's plenty of footage of him being an absolute cunt to Robin Ince; and The Office out-takes, including cast interview's, reveal him to be someone happy to take advantage of his position, pissing everybody else off. How many people have worked with him on more than one project over the years, excluding Steve and Karl who'll no longer even say his name in interviews?
