I dunno. 4 wasn’t bad. 5 was questionable. 6 looked lazy and like a silicone mask for sure. But I loved what they did w/ New Nightmare.
If only New Nightmare could have come out just 4-5 years later, the special effects could have been epic Matrix or LOTR style and it would be more highly regarded which it deserves to be. That movie is genius.
Everyone hates the second movie, especially with the very clear latent homosexuality thing going on. But it was the only one where Freddy was actually a sort of dark and threatening character and not playing video games and quoting commercial slogans like the rest of the series.
