What an awful burden it must’ve been to work with him, knowing your a part of this hugely successful and funny program but it can’t exist without opie.

Not discrediting Opie's faggotry, but IIRC some rando listener proclaimed himself a POW one day and it stuck. Surprise, surprise... not a Hughes original idea. Go figure. I also could be wrong and can't prove it either way, so yeah.
