As much as love shitting on Ant, I don’t see the relevance about Ants age & grunge music (which was way overrated). I think I was ten when Kurt Cobain killed himself & now I’m old, that’s how life works.

I’m guessing the intent of the post was to remind people that Ant is an old man, and therefore necessarily out of touch, especially given how he lives his life and how incurious he is. Typically, younger people have scoffed at and rejected the elderly when it comes to guiding their views on culture and politics, and I think this post was made in that spirit.

When they were fighting with a female dj on WNEW in 1998, she asked them their age. Opie said I'm 35, Ant's 37. They played it around 2001, and I was surprised that they were that old.
