The sad part is, “numbahs” or not, this is standard issue modern day radio press release B.S. Any time a DJ in a Nielsen rated market moves to a station or whatnot, they send these awful press releases to various radio industry sites.
They always sound the same...full of puffery and lots of management ass-kissing. Opie’s is par for the course...surprised there was nothing in there about having a “skillset” which always gets thrown in these press releases.
Lastly, am I the only person confused as to why a person who has “ratings follow” him wouldn’t just get hired on the radio? Wasn’t it Opie that said terrestrial radio always has its door open for funny and compelling talent?

"This is a new chapter for Opie and we’re giving him the creative freedom to develop a unique podcast that will reveal his true nature."
Well, hang on to your laughing hats, gentlemen...

"Opie is known for his ... ... compelling interviews."
He just sat there and let Yimmy practice his middling retard softball questions

Opie just sat there while Jimmy did his impression of a wind turbine.

Turbines don't blink, sir.

To Kurt Russel in reference to the filming of The Hateful 8:
*So did they..uh keep you guys tied together in between scenes?”
A regular Charlie Rose this guy is.

Jimmy’s no slouch himself. He asked Dan Wheldon if IndyCars have a horn so they can beep at other drivers.

We already know all about this fat titted, beach shitting, no talent board op. What else is there to know?

Opie and his "battle-tested" podcasting equipment.

He never said they'd be good ratings.

Get the fuck out of here, with that lying sack of monkey shit.

"when he speaks, the ratings follow."
I guarantee this was written by Opie, and I further guarantee that the first draft said "numbers".

“This marks the return of wildly-popular Gregg “Opie” Hughes after a mysterious exit from his last gig.”
Really?
1 TurningFrogsGay 2018-05-03
“Mysterious” in the “Russ from 90 Day Fiancé” sense.
1 panasonictooth 2018-05-03
Does anyone else think the author of that was just might have been completely taking the piss out of Opie?

This marks the return of wildly-popular Gregg “Opie” Hughes after a mysterious exit from his last gig.
It reads like he dictated the whole thing.
