Has anyone thought about how bad a move it was for Ant to go with a video only show?

Only a small percentage of people listen to podcasts by staring at it on their computer screen for hours at a time. Especially when it is hosted by the crypt keeper and a bloated rotting corpse.

You're saying that Anthony and Artie have faces for radio?

And voices for a silent film.

They have AIDS

Literally everyone from the cunts here to his ballwashers in his old subreddit thought the green screen was tacky and no one wanted to see his ugly mug every day.

Prime Donna Anthony wants to be seen though, because he genuinely believes that he looks good

Anthony loves cable news. He wants to be like the yelling man on TV.

He shouldn't have a visual element at all. It adds nothing.

But even if you MUST have video, the green screen is so fucking awful. Just spend the money to set up a nice studio.

It doesn't even have to be nice. Rogan's old studio he had for years, looks like it was decorated by Urban Outfitters.

I just think of YouTubers like AVGN. They just have a room in their place dedicated to their show with posters and shit to kind of set the tone. Ant clearly wants something like that. His awful green screen is like a finished basement rec room type thing. His (awful) show would look so much better if he just set up a room like that.

The biggest youtuber in the world only has a computer desk and a camera. And somehow it still looks better than compound media.

In Anthonys defense its not like he has alot of space to work with at the compound considering his wife, kids and mother whom he loves and takes care of.

Oh yeah I forgot that Anthony has filled his giant mcMansion with warmth and loved ones.

It's totally not a cavernous testament to his loneliness.

Yeah but those guys do 20 maybe 30 minutes a week. Not a two hour show four days a week where you have to sit at your computer watching it.

Anthony never had to do a show that often. He isn't nearly interesting enough to be able to provide that much entertainment per week.

I don't think the "visual element" itself is the problem.

The problem is he wanted to be like one of those cable news hosts with a green screen background, directly facing the camera. It's been almost 4 years and he is still super awkward on camera.

I always thought Stern did the video thing perfectly. He was in his little booth, the studio was very nicely lit, the camera angles were cool and he never looked directly into the camera. He kept his headphones on and treated the whole thing as a radio show.

I would imagine it's even more awkward sitting in a green room starring at a monitor of yourself with random pictures of Columbo and Seinfeld hung up

I don't mind the visual element, but I do think the show would work better as a radio/podcast that happens to be filmed. I for one would much rather just listen to it at work than take the time to watch it. All it would take is for Ant to paint the listener a picture of the videos they watch etc like he used to do. But Ant thinking he is a TV talk show host just doesn't work.

The studio is garbage. I've never seen a shittier desk in my life.

I remember it collapsing when East Side Dave got into a fight with his producer. it looked like it was made of styrofoam

Ant is such a fool, did he think his audience only cared about politics, because that’s what he tried to emulate. Sean Hannity, Bill OReilly, Rachel Maddow, John Oliver, they all stare directly into the camera, to preach and sermon to their audience.

That’s not what anyone wants, you crater faced pedo. The reason Howard TV and Joe Rogan worked is because the camera focuses on two people having a discussion, and the audience is eavesdropping in. No one who was an O&A fan wants a political lecture by someone staring right into the camera.

There's plenty of reasons to shit on Ant but there is an audio version. When he was at his house there were reasons to use the video. Now, there's almost no reason except for preference I think.

Well worth $10 a month

There were tons of moments from O&A that I wish there was a visual element, but that was also when they had a rotating cast of great comics and they seemed to give a shit about being funny. Now it's just sad

you're just jealous of his signed Seinfeld photo

He always had that TV broadcaster fetish.

His indulgences before the business.
