Jimmy going on Rogan or whatever and talking about "The thing about Chip is..." is so fucking cringe inducing, like he's this fully formed and developed character and not just an easy way to tell bomb worthy jokes. There's a kernel of an idea there with his mother, Lamar, etc but Jim is too lazy/untalented to fully understand what could potentially make the character interesting outside of play on words humor.

Old chip was funny. This new podcast version, confident, "wigger Chip" is not

Short form chip is fine. Long form isn't for me.

Chip is only good in small doses. I truly hate that he turned it into a "character" with dumb fucking wigs, hats and glasses.

Yeah Jim really fucked up a good thing by trying to replicate what Gervais did with Karl Pilkington.
(And yes, like Chip, Pilkington was/is a character and not actually how Karl is in reality. Anyone that believes otherwise is a fucking moron.)

Angry chip is funny. This current mook version has his moments but its mostly just a bit repetitive now.

Chip was funny when a funny conversation was happening and he interrupted with an unfunny one-liner. Long form Chip gets old fast.
