I thought he was a douche until I watched a couple of his appearances on The Fighter And The Kid. He was actually pretty funny. I still don’t think his stand up is that great, but that’s how I feel about most comics. They are always funnier just shooting the shit with their friends.

I’ve listened to a few episodes, as well as a handful of Theo Von’s podcast, but not closely, just in the background. Both are in the Bill Burr style—mostly solo musings and responding to listeners. Pretty funny, and definitely not all “the craft of comedy” lecturey either.

I saw him live in 2011 in NYC. Right after his apperence on Workaholics. He crushed it. I've seen him 3 times now. He seems to be the kind of guy who has the 1 great hour he does every time he goes somewhere. His dad is one of the biggest executives in Hollywood for tv..(which explains him and Whitney always getting TV work). However, he doesnt bring the rich guy douchy act and seems to be self sufficient.

His father is a successful producer/director/show creator, not so much an executive. Not to split hairs, but it’s a notable difference.
