Ah, whatever. She’s not naturally funny. Her voice is annoying and her delivery awkward. But that shit was well written and mean and she didn’t back down when it started getting rough and silent in there. And, yeah, I get that she’s given more freedom these days as a woman, so it’s not that brave to stand up there. When Dipaolo does what she did, he gets fired or never hired. But whatever. After reading all the articles this morning, I watched it thinking it was gonna be terrible, but it wasn’t at all. People have got to be being such pussies on both sides.

I agree. She's scary to look at but the shit coming her way over roast jokes is wild. I don't know what they were expecting. Insult comedy is what it is. This is Cecily Strong at the Dinner a few years back. Also some well-written roasting.

The reason I give that zero respect is because they can be perfectly fine being mean to people they hate but refuse to apply that to themselves and people on their side. That whole dinner is weird. It was basically an hour of some random bitch congratulating people and crying about her dead parents and then 15 mins of mediocre roast comedy.
