There were articles written up about him signing with Westwood One. So I doubt he's making this shit up. I think all the delays are Westwood One not wanting to release his awful fawkin' show. I guarantee his show is going to be terrible.
Articles don't really mean much. Opie could have easily floated the story and God knows so-called journalists don't do any fact checking. The only evidence that there could be truth to this is that W1 hasn't outright denied it
