His rants have always applicable to his own behavior.
He’s an obsessive, compulsive, megalomaniac, with a history of suicidal tendencies. He goes out of way to almost brag about how messed up he is. Some of it may be true; I imagine quite a bit of it is exaggerated.
Most entertainers are attention seekers by the vary nature of the profession, but Norton’s is on another level.
Which is fine by itself, … but combined with his annoying rants as in the attached video, which themselves are just another ‘look at me, listen to me’… he really shows how despicable he can be.

His lack of self awareness is repulsive.
