But since he is on the radio, and that is a great place to sell tickets and promote anything else, its a good idea to throw him some crumbs to make him feel like an equal. Norton knows this too, and most of the time he pretends otherwise, filling his lonely apartment with signed shit from celebrities to make him feel like he has "made it" enough to get such trinkets. But he knows deep down he stinks, and he has a tantrum when people ruin his illusion.
I think deep down Jimmy knows this. He knows it's only his radio access that gave him fame and now there's a new generation of podcasters and competing radio shows that are 100x better than he could ever do. The best he can do is that Chip podcast. An extended Mad TV sketch. Nice one you fucking queer.
The saddest thing about Jim and Sam is that they both see it as a stepping stone.
If they spent less time setting up for the next gig and actually invested their time and effort into a funny show that day, it would be better than anything O&A did in the last 7 years of their show.
I used to lurk here on and off and I know there were always people complaining about the show but what happened? lol, I know Norton and Sam show isn't nearly as good as classic O&A but it seems like everyone just complains about the show. Kind of reminds me of how the WWE has a dedicated group of people that complain about their product yet still watch faithfully and attend shows just because they have nothing better going on in their life.
