I sort of liked that 1. i hated shelley duvall and that stupid kid. if there was a way to combine em both you would have a decent movie a lot closer to the book.
Not a bad makeup effect here, but the whole production is a study in vanity and ego: I dont want my work tied to one of the greatest filmmakers of all time because then he'll overshadow me, so I'll get ABC to give me money to make a MINI SERIES(?) of The Shinning, starring Mario Van Pebbles and some people from Wings.
I love that this was filmed in the mid 90's and it captures Ant's current wardrobe perfectly. A doddering old man that believes he's entitled to young women because of his Peter Pan complex.
