Something sad I realize a few Fridays a month

Sam runs a better show without Jimmy. And then I remember that many of the classic O&A shows happened when other comedians filled in for Jimmy.

I was getting ready to post something similar. I'm more likely to listen to Sam solo than Jim solo. Last Friday's show was awful with Jim alone. Jim puts no effort into the show and it showed last week. Sam on the other hand obviously puts a little effort into preparing for a solo show.
Jim and Sam just don't gel together. Boring uninspired radio. They go for the quick and easy minimal effort show when together.
Not a Sam fan per se but he can effectively run a solo show.
That being said, they're better than everything else on the channel.

The show with Jim Florentine was far better than with Norton.

Sam definitely comes in with show prep but I feel like he knows working with Jimmy means show prep is unnecessary.
Last Friday, Jimmy just encouraged a threesome between a midget, an Asian and Mary Jean because he wanted to edge to the thought of it later. It was so unentertaining. No one cares about the sex lives of some obscure comedian and his golddigging wife. I’d listen to a Sam show with more interest than a Jim and Sam show any day. I also feel like without Jim, San doesn’t feel the pressure to try and be (unsuccessfully) funny. It’s genuinely a talk show and most of the comedians he has in are alright.
Buuuuuuuuut, I dunno. It’s a tough one, maaaaaan.
