Exactly, what’s to compare really? It was horrible radio either way but nostalgia compelled many of us to listen but if either one of these shows, Opie & Jim or Jim & Sam, came out with the same content but with unknown characters none of us would’ve made it throug on show.

Opie and Jim with the Stangle brothers was the worst radio I've ever tried to listen to. Pre-Stangle it was mildly better but still much worse than Jim and Sam. Fuck Opie.

“Can we all admit...?” And “Why do we hate ...?” posts should all be deleted and the posters banned on the grounds of faggotry. If you have an opinion, just state it. Never hide your opinion in the form of a question. And stop hiding behind the group. Be your own man. Be independent. Express your opinions as your own, not as that of an imaginary group. I never regularly listened to either shows outside of some clips shared here that were entertaining. In that sense O&J seems to have had way more content, but I’m including the Opie show, as well.

The several clips of callers making Opie sniff and get defensive, Norton playing that HOLD ON HOLD ON audio, the massive argument between Opie and Norton and the awkward follow up with that nigger comic were all great listens along with Opie alone and the disasterous end to his show. It provided so much unintentional entertainment.

J&S on the other hand is just plain uninteresting. Their constant cutesie pie tongue in cheek rapport with each other is grating. Jim is ignorant on almost all subjects outside of the finest airline lounge area catering and Sam is a surface level faggot with the most boring mainstream opinions and interests. It’s not even fun to hate it. It’s just boring.

Anything with Sam is worse than anything without him. Anything.

Opie and Anthony had a sense of discipline and recognized that ultimately, their salaries are paid by their listeners, and that they are beholden to their customers. I appreciate that level of professionalism.

Jim and Sam just do what they want. Customers hate Mary Jean? Have her on multiple times a week, because it titilates Jimmy. Customers hate wrestling? Talk about wrestling every day, because childish things makes Sam feel like he's inside his mom's pussy again.

Jim and Sam need a boss. Not Opie specifically, because Opie happens to be a miserable sociopath. But the manbaby and the psycho need the sort of structure that they can't provide themselves.
