Man that live show was terrible

Oh man that was bad. Jim and Sam sounded like they couldn't have cared any less about being there. After 15 minutes of awful banter I had to turn it off. That was terrible.

I never thought Sam was good on O&A, but he had his moments. J&S is so bad that when I go back and listen to old O&A shows Sam sounds even worse than I remember him. He's retroactively making himself sound worse.
1 TonyFromLongIsland 2018-03-27
You used the word 'retroactively' incorrectly there.
1 MikeDieselKamehameha 2018-03-27
He was good on O & A because he was a little shit stirring asshole. Hateable but entertaining.
1 Monster_Dong 2018-03-27
Cavemen should be hidden not seen, Sam was a good producer, but a terrible host.
1 mcmck 2018-03-27
Do you always copy Jim or just i'm gay
1 Single_Action_Army 2018-03-27
You're just gay
1 mcmck 2018-03-27
true, but i just wanted to make it clear that i was very cleverly parodying the user who posts that shit every time someone uses a jimmy-ism

Yes
1 dopef123 2018-03-27
Well on O&A he'd just add in little tidbits or help start drama with the staff. He never actually steered the show or madeup the majority of the broadcast.
Unfortunately he just isn't a good person to actually be the star of a radio show.
He has absolutely horrible taste.... I don't know anyone who likes professional wrestling. I don't know anyone who eats like him who is above 10 years old. He's a weird little dude.
1 Doc_McCoyXYZ 2018-03-27
Bad taste and virtually zero life experience. He has nothing interesting to draw from, his tastes, interests and opinion are unbelievably limited. Just the person I want to hear thoughts & insights from on a daily basis.
1 Threeglassjoggers 2018-03-27
That's why he was a great fourth mic. There was three other people in the studio to filter his shit through. He's essentially sharing the first mic with Jim now and we all know Jim isn't going to tell him to shut up when he can just look at his phone and ignore him.
1 Doc_McCoyXYZ 2018-03-27
I loved him on O&A. I even liked him a lot the first 5 or so months Jim and Sam was on, then the wheels just came off somewhere along the way. It also doesn't help that his voice is like nails on a chalkboard. It's like god did everything he possibly could to keep this half a neanderthal from talking for a living, and he just won't take the hint.
1 Threeglassjoggers 2018-03-27
I think it's that gleefully abrasive personality that isn't being filtered that is really causing problems. Within four minutes of the show, Sam is prancing around giggling about how he's making everyone talk about wrestling. Sam knows no one wants to hear it but he thinks it's funny because he's running the first mic now and it's incredibly unsuspensful because you know when he gets to Jim, Jim will make a horribly prepared joke to present disinterest. The only reason it stopped was because the guests started coming out. There was audible booing during the wrestling talk but Sam thinks it's cute. Sam's ego is unhinged and without a hungover Ant and disinterested Opie to filter it through, he's just going to keep laughing at the audience and ask them "why u listening bro?".
1 dopef123 2018-03-27
Yeah, I think you're right. He hasn't really done or experienced anything interesting in his life. He sounds like a sheltered suburban kid who spent his whole life obsessing with professional wrestling and radio while his mom supported him 100% in everything.
He's never done anything shady. I don't think he had traveled out of the country until recently. He's never gotten in trouble.
What interesting opinions could he possibly have?
1 HappensHappen 2018-03-27
His internship with Scorch is the only interesting thing that has ever happened to Sam, and there’s not much to say about that event other than “Scorch is a treacherous weirdo who smells like dog piss.”
Okay, great, Sam, but have you done anything else with your life...? no? Nothing at all?
1 ntmoore 2018-03-27
i hate professional wrestling as much as the next alpha male, but ron & fez were big fans so i'm conflicted...
1 Bronan_the_Brobarian 2018-03-27
Patrice loved wrestling. Used to watch as adults with Bill Burr
1 Frequent2001 2018-03-27
im sure even patrice stopped watching wrestling at one point like anyone with a sense of taste. Ron & Fez too. The WWE didnt release anything relevant or even watchable since the late 90's/early 00's
1 jimmybrite 2018-03-27
Sam's a little fucksnake who interloped his way to the top, there's nothing respectable about that.
1 Psych555 2018-03-27
That's exactly how the 0pie hate started.
1 reginaldhotsword 2018-03-27
Sam works best as a half forgotten memory. The best thing sam could do for his career is end it. When Ant finally writes that book from behind metal bars, sam will get his two sentences and they’ll be totally okay. Sam is nothing more than an extra to the lives of more interesting people.
1 FairWarning7102 2018-03-27
They haven't cared about anything they've done for the past year

Gilbert Godfry pulling a Byron Allen right off the bat "Tell me about Monster Rain"
1 PM_ME_MASTECTOMY 2018-03-27
I’m not here defending these two cornballs but let’s not sit here and pretend that any live OnA show was good. Those shits were so fucking lame and felt forced. Trying to get the audience involved was the worst
1 roninPT 2018-03-27
This. Can't speak for being there live, but at least on the radio their live shoes were never good.
1 itrits 2018-03-27
The live socks were good tho... tsss
1 roninPT 2018-03-27
Home run Chippah!!
1 Dachosen17 2018-03-27
Opie and anthony halloween 2006 was good, car crash comedy was good
1 PM_ME_MASTECTOMY 2018-03-27
Post links if available. I’d like to listen for myself. Not sure if I remember these.
1 ryanindayton 2018-03-27
The event where they let Flava Flave take over the event was embarrassing. I believe 2007 at the Hard Rock.
1 anitathequeef 2018-03-27
The recap of it with Colin was good though.
1 GWARscientist 2018-03-27
Jim & Sam at the Village Underground was much better than this shitshow & it's was only 1 year ago.

We were all high on Ant being on. Now he’s a known piece of shit Gaylord who deserves all of the abuse he’s getting.
1 PaintedPicture 2018-03-27
Ron &Fez lives shows were the shit!
1 Dawgsie 2018-03-27
You mean you didn’t enjoy cherry darts?
1 Sicboy69 2018-03-27
I heard a little bit of a clip someone posted here, Jim kept asking everyone about getting their ass eaten & I to turned it off within 10 seconds. It’s the same old nonsense but now it’s not even amusing anymore.
1 Gregg_Hughes 2018-03-27
That's why I steered the ship.
Left to their own devices, Jim would talk about sex all day while rubbing his dick under the table, and Sam would steer everything towards wrestling.
1 shimshammcgraw 2018-03-27
That's too smooth for Opie, the rambling fool.
1 ChurchOfBaldOpie 2018-03-27
It's not amusing because his self-centered creepiness isn't masked with mean-spirited humor. Or humor at all. His perversions and pure laziness or lack of giving a shit have overtook Jim the comedian/entertainer
1 Twf2tw 2018-03-27
It was a letdown, honestly. I expected a little more production for a live show that they promoted. Fucking Gilbert was a dud and everyone else had no idea what they were supposed to do. Jim and Sam fucking blew it here. I’ve been on their side for awhile but what a fucking letdown.
I couldn’t fucking get through Sandy Kane. Just the worst.
1 MikeDieselKamehameha 2018-03-27
There are a couple of guests I immediately turn off every time. Sandy Kane and Vos are 2 of them.
1 Twf2tw 2018-03-27
Vos bombs almost every time he’s on but he’s entertaining.
1 RamonFrunkis 2018-03-27
Same old Sandy and lame double entendre jokes...
BUT AT LEAST SHE TRIED. She PREPARED... she had MATERIAL.. The entire second break was them talking to some random couple in the audience, and it was dreadful. If that degenerate couple WASN'T there to talk to.. what the fuck would they have done?
I saw the Bonfire Christmas Show live at The Village Underground and they had new guests for every break, prepared bits, the follow through on long-promised stuff like DJ Dead Rat, an air drumming competition which somehow kinda translated as audio-only, and a fucking hilarious rendition of Twas the Night Before Christmas.
Jim and Sam threw some formerly well-known names onto a stage and assumed the kemushtree would create itself.
1 TriangleDimes 2018-03-27
Thanks for reminding me to go back to the Bonfire, I've gotten too deep with cum town.
1 RamonFrunkis 2018-03-27
Not every show is amazing but there are far more entertaining shows than duds. Christine is pretty fucking horrendous with her stupid huh huh huh laugh and typical boring female stories. But Lou and Jacob are fantastic producers and even their "watching YouTube" shows are hilarious because they're two quite, skilled comedians riffing. And they get comic guests. It's really the most O&A show like show, definitely on Sirius and better than 99% of podcasts.
1 TriangleDimes 2018-03-27
I guess I'm one of the few people who doesn't really notice or mind Christine. I've listened to a lot of Bonfire and I've never felt she overstayed her welcome but I haven't heard a lot of the new ones. I actually prefer the show when they don't have guests, they have enough to go with on their own without dumbass Ari Shaffir gumming up the works.
1 anitathequeef 2018-03-27
The guests are real hit or miss. Bargatze or Vechionne are good but someone needs to put a screwdriver through Mike Finoa's eyeball.
1 Twf2tw 2018-03-27
You fucking nailed it.
1 RamonFrunkis 2018-03-27
Dropping hammers or something.
1 Twf2tw 2018-03-27
By the way, I may be some sort of asshole, but where is The Bonfire?
1 RamonFrunkis 2018-03-27
I can definitely tell you it's on Google.
1 Twf2tw 2018-03-27
That’s my bad, I had no idea it was an SXM show. Thought it was a podcast or something.
1 StutterinPrickYou 2018-03-27
You been on their side cause you're a fag
1 Twf2tw 2018-03-27
HEY! CLEVER!
1 StutterinPrickYou 2018-03-27
Thanks!
1 BaggySpandex 2018-03-27
So many moments of dead air stretches. Not even the crowd was making a noise.
1 zeroaiming 2018-03-27
Just finishing now. That was brutal. 2 hours and change of quiet gilbert. The guy usually cant shutup
1 Bpp1987 2018-03-27
When you can't kill with Gilbert and Colin around you know you must stink on ice
1 Openy 2018-03-27
I don't know, I think the band was good, you never hear a hack singing and playing a guitar on any other podcast that was recorded live on a comedy club stage ever
1 Fat_n_Ugly_Luvr 2018-03-27
I don't know how far into the show I am at the moment, but Jim has asked Gilbert probably 8 times now about having his ass eaten. Move on to something else. This is very uncomfortable and not entertaining. There is no timing
1 brmlb 2018-03-27
let’s not forget Vos pointing out how many in the crowd were women. Colin had a great line early about his x-ray being interpreted as a work of art, and it got 0 from the crowd. Women are useless. Just so, so stupid.
1 GWARscientist 2018-03-27
Don Wickland must have filled the audience with the same zombies who show up for all those Bennington shows.
1 Chippahjim 2018-03-27
Had to turn it off when Sandy Kane appeared. And what was the point in reapeating Vos' bad smelling ear bit but live. It got awkward pretty fast. Sam kept reiterating every comment. Jim mocks Vos. We get it Jim. Noone wants to book Vos yet you book him for everything. Gilbert didn't really get a chance as it wasn't his show and Jim asked him about ass eating and getting his dicked sucked. Then Jim pulled out the big guns with chip. Which people now force laugh at so doesn't really work. They all tried to wing it and failed. I'm sure they'll lie 2moro and say it was amazing. Jims been retweeting compliments about it.
And what the fuck is the tefftication of America? They kept pushing some Travis angle but don't know what they were going with.
1 PudSuckley 2018-03-27
That is the angle. "Tefftification of America" is the beginning, middle and end of the joke. They say it, you laugh. Get it?
1 FairWarning7102 2018-03-27
25 minutes in and I'm tapping out. This is awful
1 KurdishGranderson 2018-03-27
I listen to things I know I won’t like so I can tell people how much I didn’t like them
1 MikeDieselKamehameha 2018-03-27
You should probably stop doing that.
1 Grochlink 2018-03-27
The cheating couple went on too long and got super awkward, and not the funny kind.
1 SociallyAwkwardRyan 2018-03-27
Ant not being there really killed the vibe. I think everyone was expecting the suprise appearance. As much of a creep Ant is, he's the missing piece here. Jim and Sam should walk in October, that's their ONLY chance at being successful at anything.
1 jofreal 2018-03-27
Think the towel can be thrown in on the hope of J&S ever amounting to anything. They've been at it for a while and have generated little to no heat. Sam is just not lead mic material, and Jim is displaying growth pains that come with the territory of being an aging "shock" entertainer. Both were overjoyed to be rid of His Belchness, until the reality set in that the onus was squarely on them as an engaging duo to make the venture fly, and they simply can't.
1 Guybroman 2018-03-27
I turned it off half way through. It sold out in less than a day but the crowd seemed like it didnt know any of the shows history.
1 MrTimSmith 2018-03-27
I quit listening during the Gilbert part but the whole show up until that point was weird. So many awkward silences. Even Colin and Vos were weird.
1 anodyne01 2018-03-27
It was so fucking awkward and uncomfortable but not in a good way. In a boring ass, unorganized shitty ass way.
1 buttholebrigade 2018-03-27
It was better than their average weekly shows but thats not saying much. Colin & Jim had some quick lines, Sam's only contribution was his annoying laugh, and Rich & Gilbert where so bored they barely paid any attention.
1 David_Tosk 2018-03-27
I never made it past the thumbnail. I trust the 100s of damning posts here. I don't care about any of these guys anymore
1 DildoRenter 2018-03-27
I didn't want to like it but Sandy Kane's stand-up material was fun to listen to.
And Bobo's mom loves to eat ass.
1 PudSuckley 2018-03-27
That is the angle. "Tefftification of America" is the beginning, middle and end of the joke. They say it, you laugh. Get it?
