Yea that opie and anthony show never had unfunny bits that got played over and over again. It was so fresh and new and everything they did was original. Like stomping on a cake.
He was a foreunner in unnatural, stiff, traced image animation done by people with good content but poor traditional frame by frame animation skills. Pre frisky dingo and archer, surely inspired by 99% of newgrounds animations.
For some reason coke-logic preferred fuzzy, undefined raster photoshop collages to create characters instead of learning vector art to clean and speed up everything. Methinks he fell in love with Photoshop+after effects early on instead of Flash+illustrator+skill. Flash is now basically dead, and After Effects is industry standard, being how youtube and higher bandwidth have caught on... But having a deeper background in traditional technique, drawing and anatomy would have punched up his quality miles by now.
All that said I have always loved his content and I'm being an asshole for picking apart a dude that has consistently provided free content for years.
I see I'm not missing anything after quitting this podcast 10 episodes in. Every time I hear "godaaammmiittt" I want to bash Jim's skull in with a tire iron.
A good professional animation costs 20K per minute, a web-animation team could possibly do it for 10.
Jim didn't even do the proper research before he put up that indiegogo. What a boob.
Chip is funny on the radio. He is not a cartoon. He will NEVER be funny as a cartoon. The fact that Jim has talked so long (at least since the O&A days) about making a Chip "adult humor" cartoon shows how little Jim knows about what made programs like The Simpsons, King of the Hill and South Park funny.

I honestly can’t think of anything that got staler faster than the Chip podcast did. You couldn’t pay me to listen to a whole one.

Woah man, you're hardcore. Let it be known, BurntChrysler really means it when he says he's NOT entertained by Chip. I'm going to stop listening, too.

I mean if you find the same joke week after week to be funny, by all means.

REMINDER: That's all this sub has done for 4 years

The cake stomp happened once

It was good until the live episode. After Chip got the congrats from Lauren he started getting stale.
1 AnastasiaTheSexy 2018-03-12
The departure of lauren really ruined the show.
1 RealTonySchiavone 2018-03-12
It got stale 8 years ago and people still talk about it as if it's funny today.

That got weird at the end.. but then cokelogic is a raging homosexual
1 Moveinslience 2018-03-12
Chip is no longer funny

Cokelogic fucking stinks.

Bullshit. His videos have been great for years.

Proper animation is hard as fuck. His minimalistic approach saves more time than Anime. He does well with the time he has.
1 BigDummyIsSexy 2018-03-12
"Minimalistic approach"? That faggot uses animation software. His characters don't even turn their heads. He can churn this shit out in real time.

They don't even smile. How hard is it for them to draw two frames of an open smile when they laugh. Ugh, cokelogic is awful.

60 k of animation would be 15 seconds of a pixar movie. You really want pixar quality chip for 15 seconds?

He never watched any of them and only was resentful towards them because they "got away" with more edgy humor.
1 MrPoopyButtwholes 2018-03-12
Jim doesn't watch tv unless it's faggy shit like sons of anarchy because it would take time away from his edging with tranny prostitutes.
1 saessea 2018-03-12
Watching cartoons? What am I, five?
1 LipstickJohnson 2018-03-12
Jim Norton is the new Jeffrey Gurian
1 KillaKuhnsDeadSon 2018-03-12
why did this have to be animated though
like what does this medium bring that we didn't get in the actual podcast?
there was the visual of norton sitting in his apartment naked, but that was it. was that worth it?
1 saessea 2018-03-12
Oof, that was rough. Jim Norton is no longer funny to me. I feel embarrassed I ever did find him amusing.
