We joke, but it is actually pretty fucked how the Satmar communities in Brooklyn and their inbred offshoot cousins in Rockland County have become so emboldened and aggressive.
There’s a documentary on Netflix called One of Us about this that’s quite brutal. It gets into how the community fucks over defectors, especially mothers, by using the courts and legal mechanisms in all sorts of inhumane ways, all the while the whole lot of them are on the public teet, in terms of welfare and entitlements, anywhere they live.
