I remember this bit. Merrill's dish was chicken parts baked with BBQ sauce poured on top and I think he microwaved something too. There was no technique to it whatsoever although his cooking show was no worse than 90% of the YouTube cooking channels where a homemade chicken soup recipe consists of dumping cartons of store bought broth into a pot and bringing it to a boil.

He wanted to microwave something but they wouldn't follow him into the next room where the microwave was.
