Opie doesn’t really understand that celebs see his show as just another annoying 20 minutes they have to do on their press tour. It’s always bugged me. What a stupid needy faggot
Ol’ bitch tits absolutely wants to be Hoo Hoo Howie with the liberal Holohoax friends that he takes extremely awkward pictures with while ensuring at least a persons length in between one another on the couch after, yet another soulless interview. Appreciate it or not, Ant had enough charisma to have James Bond 007 come over to his house and drink beers and then go and shoot some guns. An accomplishment Tits could never have even envisioned let alone accomplished.
For once I can see it from his point of view, in a way. When he was an absolute nobody in radio, he (well, his show) somehow managed to develop a closeness with Breuer and Jay Mohr. Half Baked and Jerry McGuire honestly weren't too shabby for such a zilch of a show/host. I can't really blame him too much for trying to push that formula forever and ever. Granted, Breuer and Mohr are hardly Chris Rock, or the other 80 bigger celebrities he tried that shit with. And granted as we all know he mainly did it so he could have some kind of influence on his own show, which in reality he only ever hindered.

He always acted too big/cool for his guests so he never formed a proper relationship with any of them. It’s this really weird ego thing.

The "closeness" was only with stand ups who needed to do the show to plug their shitty spots in small clubs

Nothing is more cringey then when he’d start to refer to a celeb as “a friend of the show” looking for validation so desperately.
