Joe Rogan is very popular

Rogan’s Podcast is always within the top 10 or 20 most popular weekly podcasts on my IPhone Podcasts app. He’s usually one of the only podcasts in that format, all the other ones are news related like NPR or storytelling formats. I personally find him taxing to listen to but his popularity is leaps & bounds ahead of Anthony Cumia’s. I don’t think Ant would break the top 50 even if he offered up his podcast for free.

Anthony just isn't funny on his own. I don't care about his politics or anyone's for that matter. I wanna listen to some funny shit. Not hear about black crime statistics. Even if his show was free I wouldn't listen to it. Sure as hell not paying for that trash.

How anyone is still paying after they jacked up the price for a no-show junkie is astonishing. He's taken no criticism, made no changes, and puts absolutely as little effort as possible. I guess that means there's plenty of retards subbing.

I use a friends account but I literally turn the show off half way through almost 90% of the time when I do listen. That’s longer than I normally make it with J&S, which I also listen to for free, they are sooo fucking boring I probably go about 10-15 min before I have to call it quits.

I watched a few of Dispatch's videos. I thought it was very mediocre soft hipster emotional rock. If I was him, I would feel lucky to have over 500 views on each video. I see he has one he uploaded last year that has well over 100,000 already. So what's your point exactly? You're just proving me right

Someone like Dispatch is not going to be as famous as a trap rapper because he isn't doing something new and innovative and cutting edge, he is simply coasting in an older genre that has already been explored thoroughly

That said, I'm convinced Ant is fucking up his chance at getting millions of views on his video by putting everything behind a paywall and not posting enough free content daily. He simply doesn't have enough good content to justify the monthly price either (CRTV costs the same and has 14 hosts, most semi-well known, vs CP's 8 hosts, 90% nobodies, and CRTV still pumps out tons of free content).

Ant doesn't need Rogan level numbers but he's basically spinning his wheels in one place and not expanding his base by keeping 99% of the content behind a paywall, having zero good marketing for Compound Media on their website (why would anyone join if you don't know Ant or Artie already?), little free/viral content, etc etc.

Posting free clips/interviews with keywords for popular topics or celebrity names is exactly how Rogan became as big as he is.

I think the reason anthony doesnt want to be more free with his content is he probably sunk quite a lot of his own money into compound media and prefers the slow, steady stream of income from subscriptions instead of risking those proceeds by opening things up when its not even guaranteed they find much of an audience

Looks like profits are dropping Year-to-Year so the math might be a little off, but 1 million views = 224 monthly subscribers. So if Ant has 10k (monthly) subscribers that would equal 44.64 Million YT views. For a full year it would be 12 times that obviously.

If Ant did his show free on YouTube can you imagine how different this sub would be? I think only me and a few others here actually pay for his garbage and most the time it's not worth reporting on. But if it were free there would be no shortage of funny shit posts regarding the show.

Now Mike's show is very removed from the Don and Mike show but he does have the benefit of his show/podcast has been also been on terrestrial radio in the DC market.

See, that's because Joe Rogan is a popular host and the last time that Anthony sniffed the taint of fame was when he and Opie were ripping off Stern's material in 2002.
