Trying to analyze what the deal was with Colin Quinn being buddies with the top level comedians in the world and they actually respected Colin, but those guys would never go on O&A.

Why would they? It's not like OandA were there friends.

Your title suggested that you were evaluating how Colin straddled the worlds of top level comedy talent and a show those people wouldn't go on.
Instead you ranted about how you hate famous people. False advertising, give me my time back.

Yeah I got side-tracked but later on in another thread, did get into how Colin was the only guy who didn't turn his back on his old buddies.
Here, I'll give you your time "refund" back:

Louis absolutely did go back on the show after he blew up but Opie started treating him like a “big star” instead of a peer and friend. You could tell it made Louis really uncomfortable. Louis just wanted to hang and riff with them, instead he got put on a pedestal and “interviewed”. Ant and Jimmy still treated him like one of the guys though.

All tits wanted to ask him about was hosting SNL and the Oscar's.
1 Mu_Scevich 2018-01-18
Yup. Opie always complained that people got too big for the show and resented them, yet it was Opie himself who made Louis too big for the show. What a fucking idiot.

O&A were a career liability. No upper level publicist is going to allow their clients on that shit show.
Colin could afford that liability because he was friends with top tier comedians who financed CQ projects; not networks. He had already been fired by Viacom and canceled from NBC(twice).
Being in with Seinfeld made him a made man. Just like dad joke Tom Pappa somehow maintains relevancy through Jerry.

What I find strange is that feminists like Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham and Gail Bennington worship Colin who has always been one of the few right leaning comics to embrace humorous racism.

Colin isn’t actually a racist so it’s alright. Unlike Ant who puts on blackface and thinks its funny.
1 onemancrimespree 2018-01-18
It's satirical racism, his humor is as anti-PC as it gets and he is always arguing in favor of the sensible whites vs stupid hip hop culture but it's coming from a place like Bill Cosby as opposed to Nick DiPaolo.

That's not blackface.

probably because their show wasn’t popular enough to justify the potential negative affect of being associated with them. they were probably either sorta known to those giant celebrities as that show that bashed them or their friends, or not on their radar at all. Louis’ career took and maybe he was just too busy, but I remember him calling in randomly during one of bobo’s appearances.
1 ScoobyMcSnazz 2018-01-18
Yeah, I think Louis was actually too busy filming his shit.
