There are plenty of junkie dealers. They just usually have an expiration date before they start using up all their product and can't pay back their supplier and start pulling shady shit on their customers like shorting bags and over cutting shit.

I agree with this. They talked for years about how Artie wouldn't use e-mail or join computer based work or chat groups on Stern. I can see it still being the same now.

This isn't a theory its fact, about a month ago Artie showed up late and handed Ant a wad of cash on camera, they kind of brushed it off but Artie said Ant had lent him some money and wanted to get it back to him ASAP. I assumed he needed Ant to help pay off some debts (drugs, gambling or something else?) before he got his ass kicked.

For Artie 80 bags of heroin is probably a week's worth or thereabouts. My guess is that he doesn't cop it himself, he has someone who does it for him in exchange for skimming off the top. Thus he's probably paying more than he would if he didn't have a middleman. He'd never roll on whoever that middleman is, as if he lost him he'd have to cop himself and he's way too conspicuous and noticeable, not to mention fat and stupid, to pull that off regularly.

I always thought "bookie" was code for his dealer from Stern show days. Anyway this is a good theory, makes the upcoming court date more interesting if they have some evidence. I like this storyline - I was sure the Artie character was gonna die at the end of last season but here he's back with a new arc.

Heroin, especially in NYC, is often sold in individual 0.1mg "stamps". The dealer will put all of their supply in these, so that's what you will get even if you are buying in bulk. I guarantee Artie is not selling dope. He definitely has a middle man getting everything for him though and he is no doubt getting ripped off. With the amount that he gets he should have a better connection where he can actually get real bulk in one package. It's kind of sad really. I would expect a celebrity or even a semi celebrity to have access to better drugs than the average street junkie.
