Opinion- Prime Stern vs Prime O n A?

Grew up listening to both. Stern during the mid late 90's and into the beginning of the Artie era was imo the greatest incarnation of the show. I think very late WNEW O n A and early XM O n A were the best versions of their run. I honestly can't decide who was better.

The Colin, CK, Patrice, Bobby, Burr era was some of the funniest shit I've ever heard in my life

I remember one broadcast during the K Rock era, when they were terrestrial for awhile during the early XM days, where they played chubby bunny. I rear ended a cabbie with a box-truck b/c I was laughing so hard. I've been trying to find the episode but cant.

Stern did some good interviews, but O&A flowed more naturally without a giant ego in the room, also O&A would take & fight criticism. So O&A for me in general... but it's all subjective, & maybe I was late to Stern.

Very different shows. I think Mid-2000s Stern might have the edge but was big a fan of both. The difference is I can go back and enjoy old Stern clips as much as I did when they first aired. Opie makes this more difficult when it comes to the old O&A shows.

Being from NyC I honestly I didn’t listen to O&A as much since Howard dominated the air back then. Some of the shit Howard did was hilarious and his interviews/guests were always better. I also have a very found place in my heart for beetlejuice. But now as I go back and listen to old O&A shows I feel like I missed out cause some of the shit with Colin, Louie and Patrice etc is absolutely hilarious. But yea both very different shows.
