Florida/NEW/JFK Fez

It is funny here reading comments about Fez when most only know him from the XM days when he was a shell of the character he was before. The first few weeks they came on XM he was that old hilarious, quick whitted character. He easliyt could go toe to toe with Ron with quick comments and sniper like attacks on guests. After his heart attack is when the slow decline came. There were periods where he would rally and you would think he would return to that person but they were fleeting.

Regardless retired with infinitely more dignity than Opie or Anthony could dream of.

There's still a buzz over at r/ronandfez

Horrible sub, I'm just glad Hicks is still getting a paycheck and I don't have to listen

JFK Fez, better then LBJ fedora or DJT MAGA hat tss

Fez was sort of the sniper with quick lines back in the day. I cant get over that towards the end people didnt realize that Fez being quiet was bit/reality. A bunch of great bits came out of Fez locking up. The producers talking more than Fez was always a running bit on the show

Which heart attack? First time ever listened to either show was on Directv music channels Nov. 2005 Fez just came back and was blaming Opie for it

If you get a chance, listen to WNEW Ron and Fez. Fez was quick as hell back then, and on some broadcasts, even outshined Ron. I think commercial radio fit Fez’s style much better than satellite. He produced tons of production pieces and interacted with the callers much more than the XM days.

I honestly believe the entire thing was a ruse, it just got too ridiculous. It felt like Ron didn't feel like falling into the trap of being a shock jock so he just pushed his luck and tried to get fired coming up with absurd storylines, but it didn't happen.

I started listening to Ron and Fez when they were on WJFK late night. It was. The delayed broadcast from WNEW. Fez was amazingly funny. I was so happy when they changed their hours to 7-11pm on WJFK.
