How is that nitpicking? Its not like hes pronouncing the o's as e's and its just a quirk, portruding isnt a word, and jim lets the dickhead get away with it every time he says it, and he says it multiple times.
Jim has made fun of him extensively for this one and Sam usually smartens up and gets the word right for about the next 2-3 weeks, then it's right back to "PORtruding".
He says it so often too, it's gotta be on purpose [THAT'S THE BIT]. I think I've heard Jim call him out on it before too but in that way where sam come out still not knowing the correct pronunciation
