ROR isn't bail. With a simple DUI/DWI if it's your first offense they usually let you go when you sober up, as long as there is no reason to believe you aren't going to show up to court in a week. Even though bail was originally set at $15k i'm assuming he got a lawyer on the phone and was able to have that waived, because it is rather EXXXTRRRREEEME man!
