This goes all the way back to Opie's early adolescent years. Opie was obviously a closet gay in his youth. Here are a few examples as proof:

1. He admitted that his dad was ashamed of him on two separate occasions, once when he put blonde highlights in his long girly hair, and another when he came home with his ear pierced.

2. He put marshmallows in his butthole with a group of guys in college.

3. He wanted to be a male model (gay) but decided to go into entertainment (gay) after "interning" (sucking cock) for the "Bear Man" (guy with obvious homo name).

I could probably think of way more examples but that should suffice for now.

Now, fast forward a few years to when Opie and Anthony meet and start doing the show together. The two of them were very close and had a strong personal relationship outside of the show. Anthony was very grateful to Opie for the job and that's why he hung out with him, but Opie was actually secretly in love with Anthony. It was Treefort Richard all over again.

So now we skip ahead a few more years to when Jim Norton becomes a regular on the show. Anthony and Jim had quickly become good friends and formed a relationship of their own. Jim was also in love with Anthony just like Opie, but the situation was a little different. Anthony and Jimmy both bonded with each other over their love for transgendered men and started experimenting with each other sexually. Jimmy would dress as a woman and wear a wig while Anthony would play with Jim's nipples and get sucked.

When Opie found out about this, he was crushed. Being a narcissist, he couldn't comprehend why Anthony would be attracted to a worm like Jim and not a potential male model like himself. He decided that if trannies were what Ant wanted, that's what he would give him. This led to the beginning of The Opester's transition to becoming a woman.

The first and most obvious step in the transition was the clothing and hairstyle. He fashioned his hair into a short lesbian hairdo and started wearing mom jeans and blousey button up shirts. The next step on the journey was his diet.

Opie started drinking bikini-tinis and other ladies drinks instead of beer. Then he started eating "Lean On Me" cereal which is marketed towards women. He also started making fruit smoothies every morning in his nutri-bullet containing bluebreeze (a stand alone fruit) and a secret boost (most likely his own cum).

And the piece de resistance...those voluptuous chest ornaments that earned him the nickname "Tits". Now these are natural beauties and definitely not implants. The only way to get big natural milkers like those is by taking estrogen and other female hormones. This obviously worked great for growing breasts but there were some unpleasant side effects.

The excessive estrogen in Opies system was causing him to think and act like a woman. He lost his ability to make or take a joke. He demanded equal recognition for doing a lesser job than his male coworkers. And most importantly, his jealousy over Anthony and Jimmy's relationship only grew more intense, causing tensions between the three men to increase exponentially.

It wasn't long after that Anthony was fired and the show disbanded. Opie decided to halt his transition but the gynecomastia and emotional damage are still apparent. Anthony and Jimmy still do weird sex stuff with each other.
