No judgement zone fellas. What music you listening to these days?

For instance I've been on a major Weezer kick as of late. My favorite musical artists of all time include Eminem, Tool, and The Beatles. I have many favorite albums but Dookie may very well be my favorite ever. In terms of newer artists, I can't really name any that I absolutely love and will go down as all-timers except maybe Kendrick Lamar. Obviously I'm a bit stuck in my gen-x origins. Perhaps you gentleman can put me on to new stuff in this thread of sharing

I've been listening to a lot of Rafealla Carra lately.

I like Greta Van Fleet, even if they are a poor man's Zeppelin. Other than that I really don't stray away from the lithium channel on sxm.

I'll check them out

First 2 Albums of Weezer and on a Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton kick especially when i'm hammered.

The first 2 are undoubtedly their best but I've learned to appreciate their post 2005 pop hits

Ive been listening to a lot of early 2000s rock. System of a down, the offspring and rage against. Just out of nowhere

All 3 are favs of mine. Especially Rage

i've been on a real Pantera kick for the last couple weeks. i put on Vulgar Display the other day while doing yard work and mowed the fuck outta that lawn

Is that the one with cowboys from hell? I used to listen to pantera while working out

CFH is the album before Vulgar, which is also a great listen

Depresses the shit outta me after listening to Panera these days. Fucking travesty.

the whole Phil thing was shitty, but losing Dimebag because of some delusional fuckface in a night club is indeed a travesty.

I've been enjoying some 90s techno as of late, such as this, though get back to be in a week hahahahha

Volbeat, avenged sevenfold

Not digging the new AX7 album. What you think? Volbeat tho, those guys are pretty good

Tantric, Boston, The Replacements, the Jam and other Paul Weller

Pixies, dylan, pj harvey

i really like Dylan's kinda recent duquesne wheels. If you haven't, give that one a listen.

You mean duquesne whistle

Sorry. You're right it's off of Tempest. I don't even buy albums anymore I just listen to tracks off of youtube.

I listened to some of the pixies newer stuff and it just made me sad.

Old albums are still the shit

Yeah, i agree. I wish frank black remained solo. He put out some really great records.

I like television themes.

Cheers song is undeniably a masterpiece

Anything by Owl City.

Dancehall & soca 😎

What do y'all think of My Chemical Romance? IMO they are an incredible band with a shit ton of absolute bangers that were unfairly maligned due to their fan base and look and are unfairly overlooked

The first two records are absolute fire, tbh

Honestly, they wrote some good tunes. They may not be able to help their fans, but they didn't have to look like idiots

Biggie, PAC, and NIN all time top 10.

NIN is garbage

I am clutching my pearls and LITERALLY shaking right now. How dare you!

Catholic Discipline,Modern Lovers but the lead singer sounds like Ian Halperin

GNR almost nonstop since May... with time taken to listen to the new Royal Blood album a dozen or so times.

I wish I can still listen to GNR like that. Lots of bands are played out but for some reason GNR and Pink Floyd have become a tough hang for me

Crystal castles songs where the girl doesn't scream like she's being killed. Those are pretty good

Also most of metric and yeah yeah yeahs are good too

early modest mouse and pavement shit. i like musicians who think they're better than you tbh.

DEATH METAL Death, At the Gates, The Black Dahlia Murder, Necrophagist, Carcass

PROG ROCK Camel, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Gentle Giant, Yes, Soft Machine

AVANT GARDE Zappa, Captain Beefheart, Zoogz Rift, Snakefinger

CHIP TUNES Dr Zilog, Cheap Dinosaurs, The Advantage, Chromelodeon

I loves me some Snakefinger. Best version of The Model.

I've never heard of a single one of those bands. I'm assuming they're newer. Although I don't listen to those genres unless Tool is considered prog

Nah these are all from the late 60's until the mid 90's the most recent is The Black Dahlia Murder. Give them all a listen, they all are really technical.

Dont forget Happy Flowers

Tss what kinda tunez???

Mahavishnu - Their first album is a masterpiece. Yes - I've been listening to Tormato on a loop for two days now.

How's this for a hot take....you can listen to all the Pantera, Metalica, Gangstar rap, and Norwegian Black Metal you want. In terms of the most bad ass, rip your throats out, passionate, fuck yourself song ever made, I vote "You Oughta Know". It's truly one of the greatest songs ever made and unmatched in its intensity

Smersh, Quincy Punks, Cramps

MF doom

Do you think MM FOOD is better than OD? And do you think Take Me To Your Leader is a good album?

anything hes been apart of is good someone made a remix w him n sade n the furst song is really good they sampled if by bread

All three are great albums. mm food is my favorite though

2U. I saw them live and it felt like they were performing just for me.

I like their early stuff. Ever since they got all caught up in those legal battles they just lost something. Perhaps it's the fact that we definitively know that Joe "the edge" Cumia is NOT a pedophile. I think I liked that potentially dangerous side to him. Let's face it, we all love our ARTISTS to be damaged and fucked up

[removed]

Ambrosia, Eric Carmen, Bryan Adams, Stevie B, Tina Arena, Boy Meets Girl, Amy Grant & Slipknot.

Machine Head and Muse. Looking forward to both new albums.

Vivaldi

I've been listening to a lot of coheed and cambria again. In keeping secrets of silent earth is great.

Everything after that was shit and such a let down back in the day. First two records were awesome

Yea I guess I agree with ya. But this first couple records were solid.

Classic Rotgut.

Limp bizkit

First 2 albums are fucking classics and I don't care what anyone thinks

Well, aside from Azzizz's masterpiece "Dara", I've been listening to The Cult a lot. Weird looking dudes but their songs "fire woman", "wild flower" and "love removal machine" are really awesome if you're into just straight-up hard rock.

She sells sanctuary

Not a big fan of that one, for some reason

Lot of Townes Van Zandt lately. Him, Warren Zevon, etc..... Also a bit of 60's, 70's soul - Percy Sledge, Isaac Hayes, Bobby Womack, Delfonics.

Also on a huge rap kick lately - Kool G Rap, KRS 1, Eric B and Rakim. Haven't listened to much new rap unless it's something like Sean P, Apathy, Ryu, Ezale or similar. I do kinda like that 69 kid, even though I don't want too.

Stuff like the bands in those two paragraphs have been it mainly for the last few months. Some other stuff like Electric Wizard, Sleep, Ministry, Weedeater, etc.... sneaks in there. Even some old school 80's, early 90's reggae pops up here and there. But for the most part I've kept it mellow.

BLUE MOON MARQUEE

rod stewart

Yes and Genesis

Dutch hip hop and battle rap. Anybody else watch battles?

Clutch and Ghost....mostly

Tool, Perfect Circle, Mooseblood, Radiohead

Wow I forgot to list Radiohead once in this whole thread. Easily one of the all time greats

I go deep with the Radiohead. Where we stand with the Creep?

Never heard that one, must be a deep cut

I go deep with the Radiohead. Deep. ::Sniff::

The first 2 are undoubtedly their best but I've learned to appreciate their post 2005 pop hits
