It is well-understood that Jim has no personality on his own and simply parrots those around him. He used to live with Florentine, which I assume is where he picked up all the rock music. Jim strikes me as guy who owns a Weezer CD, (but not either of the one of two good albums they had put out) and then promptly after purchasing the CD promptly proceeded to never once listen to it.
