Every time the camera cut to Ant, you could see him sweat; hoping no one makes him choose between his two favorite things (his friends, and the alt-right).

Watching Ant's descent into full-blown Nazi'ism, and how this is affecting his relationships, has been the best part of following his Twitter account since he got fired. Moreover, situations like that one are going to happen more and more as Ant keeps leaning further right, while his more reasonable right-wing friends know better.

Seriously, when was the last time anyone here saw Ant ball-bust or so much as disagree with a single word from the alt-right? They're superheroes to him. After yesterday, I doubt Ant would know who to save between a Nazi and his own Brother Joe if the choice was presented to him.

What are you saying? I agree that just Ant and Jim usually is not the best mixture, but Opie would ruin the flow of the original show constantly. I don't understand why you see that as a good thing

Yeah, but he would ruin the flow just as much, or maybe even more than he did move it along. I agree there has to be someone to "steer" the proverbial "ship", (ha) but Opie is quite literally the last choice that anyone should be hoping for. It's like you guys forget how Opie was truly cancerous to the show.

Nah, it's like this, they had a format and Opie tried to follow it so that beyond the riffing they would get to certain points in the show. Not an easy job, as you can evidently have heard several times on the O&A-show. I bet you hear other radio shows have the same problems if you have tons of good co-hosts or guests who are amazing at improvising aswell.

Are you aware of who Opie even is? The issue isn't that he had a hard job, the issue is how his dreadful personality and lack of awareness stunted the show. If you go back and listened to all the times Opie threw out a bomb, or stopped a good flow to "go to the phones," it's astounding.

Opie's a douche, that's what gave the show it's edge.

In retrospect, the more "edgy" material Opie tried to push were very embarrasing and did not age well comically.

Ant needs a straight man to help him guide the show, or a reliable second mic to let him play the good guy when he needs to. If Artie were still with us and in his prime he would have been perfect as an instigator in this situation. If he were here right now he would have barfed something like "wait so you don't leennghehhe niggers?"

It's a great show before Flatery comes in. Then the tension, leaving, and wrapping up with funny moments. In terms of Cumia shows it's without a doing top 5.
