Ron chose nepotism over putting on an entertaining show, so no he doesn't.

He's turned into an arrogant bore who looks like an Italian grandmother.

He put in an entertaining show for 30 years. He's semi retired at best.

Anthony has too. I feel like Ron is being pushed more to the left in his old age just from seeing how Anthony is now, and being disappointed in him. Subconsciously he's more afraid of becoming a bitter old right wing fart, when he could instead be worshipped by stupid feminists who don't really know any better, or even know him... like Colin Quinn is now.

Anthony is falling into a trap of his own, the only thing that can pull him back is not wanting to embarrass himself in front of Ron. And the only thing that could make Ron funny again is the fact that he still admires Anthony's skill so much that he (aside from Rogan) is one of the only non-Klan members alive willing to sing Ant's praises on a public forum.

The Problem is The Bennington Show unlistenable, boring shit.

Ron is up to date on Anthony's antics and knows exactly what he's become, because any time he's on the show he brings a reality check about it. You can tell he feels let down because of how funny he knows Ant can be but how lame Ant comes across by trying to do politics.

Ron fucking hires fat blue haired feminists to run his websites, he dedicates full radio shows through tears to whatever faggy synth rock queer died that week. Plus he's doing a show with his fucking daughter. It was a terrible idea all around, instead of being a quirky aged-hipster show like Ron & Fez it's just a hipster show that sounds like a father homeschooling his daughter in a Music course.

Ron's show ended on his own terms. Fez retired and Ron decided to stick around and get a nice easy paycheck for him, his daughter, and his staff while doing as much fun shit as they can (like live shows). He pretty much said as much in the first year of his show.

He isn't actively trying to promote himself in any sort of way, or trying to come off as anything. Here's a good way to break it down

Jimmy tries to come off as an experienced and intelligent SJW who's been on both sides. We hate him because he's a stupid hypocritical moron.

Opie tries to come off as being successful and knowing how to do radio. We hate him because he can't be successful by himself and he doesn't know how to do radio.

Ant tries to come off as: tough, smart, open and honest, straight, etc. We hate him because he's none of that.

Ron tries to go on shows and be funny. That's pretty much it. Even today he just kept trying to get the talk away from race and back to making jokes. How are you mad at that when nearly everyone agrees that Ant's show would be better if there were more jokes?
