You are comparing TV shows to podcasts. Tv shows are usually watched by the general public, podcasts are just your fans hearing way too much of what you have to say.

We missed out on having more episodes of Tough Crowd with Patrice, because Colin's feelings were hurt.

And now he goes on bad talk shows in the morning and late nights, to promote his "Broadway shows" which sounds like a cocksucker thing to anyone who doesn't know Colin. And he goes on Lena Dunham's show. Just smiles politely throughout, dancing around everything and barely daring to have an opinion about anything anymore.

I'm pissed off about it because I know deep inside him there is that perfect comedic opinion on any given issue that only he can come up with, but he's suppressing it to be Lena Dunham's friend.
